Heroes

I saw a commercial on TV today about heroes. What is a hero? I am in my 40’s. My view of a hero today is different than when I was 10 or 20 or even 30. When I was a kid my baseball hero was Mike Schmidt, Phillies Baseball Hall of Famer. As an adult, I realized and appreciated the large role my parents played in my life and survival. As an adult, I understood and was grateful for the large role my Grandmother and Aunts played in my life and survival. As an adult, I realized the importance and impact a wonderful teacher can have on your life…Sister Sandra Patricia. As an adult, I realized the measure of a man… Baseball Hall of Famer and Brooklyn Dodger, Duke Snider. He was a Hall of Fame man. I am happy for his boyhood fans because he was a wonderful, kind, and generous man.

There is childhood perception and adult perception. Perception is almost like a fine wine…it hopefully gets better with age.???????????????????
